Link, Triforce, potions, and more, here are 10 easy Legend of Zelda Perler Bead patterns.

The Legend of Zelda series is a classic when it comes to video games. We are talking old school. The first in the series was released in 1986. Since its inception, MANY more Legend of Zelda games have been released, and the stories of Link on his magical adventures are beloved by many.

That being said, there have been many Perler Bead artists through the decades who have created sprites representing the series. Today, I’m going to share with you 10 easy Legend of Zelda Perler Bead patterns.

All you need to make these awesome Legend of Zelda sprites are your basic Perler Bead supplies. Some of my favorites are pictured below.

Most of the patterns are made on a large Perler Bead pegboard. If you choose to make the Triforce you will also need a star or hexagon pegboard.

Perler Bead Triforce

My Triforce Perler Bead pattern is THE easiest one that I’m sharing today. All you need is a small star or a small hexagon pegboard to be able to create it. When completed it only makes a 2 inch triangle, so it is the perfect pattern to make into a key chain. Or, if you are really feeling bold you could make it into earrings or a necklace.

Perler Bead Potion Bottle

Fans of the Zelda series know that potion bottles are magical drinks that Link can consume on his journey. Potions come in a variety of colors; the most common being red, green and blue.

In general, the red potion replenishes Link’s health, the green potion replenishes his magic, and the blue potion replenishes both. I chose to make a blue potion for you today, mostly because I like the color blue. BUT you can make your potion in any color that you choose. When choosing, make sure that you have two shades of your selected color so you can do the shading on the Perler Bead pattern.

Although it may look like it, this potion pattern does not fit on a small square pegboard. It is one row too tall. I played around with the pattern quite a bit to try to get it on to a small pegboard, but I never liked the way it looked. So, you will need a large square Perler Bead pegboard.

Majora’s Mask

This Majora’s Mask Perler Bead pattern is the most difficult one that I’m showing you today. It uses a lot of colors and takes two large Perler Bead pegboards. It’s actually the only pattern here that isn’t made with Perler Beads at all. I used Artkal brand beads. The brand doesn’t matter though, you can create a similar Majora’s mask with Perler Beads.

Heart Container from Perler Beads

No collection of Legend of Zelda Perler Bead patterns would be complete without the classic heart container. For this Perler Bead pattern, I used a large Perler Bead pegboard. Only 4 hearts will fit on a pegboard. If you want to make more than 4 hearts on your pattern, you can continue your design on a second pegboard.

It’s also worth noting that I used clear Artkal beads to represent the area where there was missing health from Link’s heart container. If you don’t have clear beads, you can just use with white Perler Beads.

Hylian Shield

I think almost every game in the Legend of Zelda series has some version of they Hylian shield. So, of course, I wanted to make a simple pattern for you. This Hylian shield pattern is easy enough to fit on a small Perler Bead pegboard. It also is the perfect size to make into a magnet for your favorite Legend of Zelda fan.

Hylian Sword

So since I made a shield, I also wanted to show you a Hylian sword pattern. This Perler Bead pattern is another pattern that is larger than it looks. It doesn’t fit on a small square pegboard, so you’ll have to create it on a large square Perler Bead pegboard. It’s still really easy to make though.

Wonder Boy made the Hylian sword, and it took him no time at all. I think if I would have made it, I would have added more gray in the blade, so when you create it, play around with the colors a little to get the look you desire.

Perler Bead Navi

This is my favorite of all the Legend of Zelda Perler Bead patterns I’m sharing with you today. It’s a 3D version of Link’s very own fairy, Navi.

Even though this is a 3D Perler Bead pattern, it is still really easy to make. You just have to make each piece and then make sure you don’t over melt the pieces. The two finished pieces will just slide together to make a 3D Navi.

You do need large Perler Bead pegboards to make the design.

I think this would make a great ornament for your tree. It would even look cute hanging from the rear view mirror in your car. We took ours and made a Navi in a bottle. Check it out here.

8 bit Master Key from Perler Beads

Gotta have that big key to unlock all the things, right? This master key from Link to the Past, is really easy to make and only has two colors. To create it, you need a large Perler Bead pegboard because it’s 15 beads high.

Treasure Chest

Every Zelda game in the series has a treasure chest for Link to loot while he’s on his epic adventure, so I wanted to make one for this collection of easy Zelda Perler Bead patterns. It’s patterned off the chests from Majora’s Mask.

You’ll need a large square Perler Bead pegboard to create it, and the only colors needed are brown, white, black and yellow. If you are lucky enough to have some gold Perler Beads, those would look great with it in place of the yellow.

Easy Perler Bead Link

I could not give you a list of 10 easy Legend of Zelda Perler Bead patterns without our hero, Link. Besides the old school NES Link, this Perler Bead Link is probably the easiest out there. There are many versions of this epic adventurer out there on the world wide web, but this one is Wonder Boy’s interpretation of the shading. He did a great job!
